I always use the following on my black QX4, and I think most ppl would agree it looks great =)

1) McGuire's Fine Cut Polisher (FINE>>>>>>NOT MEDIUM!!!!)2) McGuire's New Car Glaze3) NuFinish (Yes, it's mindblowingly amazing and won't streak, Yes, I was skeptical, and yes i'm using it forever)4) McGuire's NXT Wax (this lasts short, but makes it shine). I sometimes skip it =)

Notes: You MUST allow step 3 to COMPLETELY dry before 4. That means no less than 12 hours, preferably 24 before you hit step 4. You MUST NOT apply in direct sunlight to any steps, and then MUST wait another 24 after step 4. That should last you a while and prevent any small scratches

I've heard regular dishwashing liquid strips wax off the car.

I've converted to using Turtle Wax Ice. Works good for me and now I don't need to worry bout white residue.

I went to the local Harley dealer and got S100 polish / wax.So easy to apply. . . and it's the same thing as P21S.

Also, during your detailing process, look into using a color wax. Turtle Wax makes a black wax, its great for hiding chips/scrathes/marks etc. Then just use your quality glaze type wax on top of that.

I had bad swirl marks on my black mustang cobra and the only thing that I found to remove them was Zaino's swirl & scratch remover. EZ on and EZ off!!
