There is no such thing as the best one out there. They all perform well. The only real difference you are looking at is price. Also if you go with a cai make sure to put in the bypass filter if you have rain in your area. And the JWT popcharger has been known to do well for just being a filter replacement.

Personally, I'd go with the JWT pop charger. It's like $100, and gives the car a great sound. Some say they can feel the gain, but you may not. I did not. My next suggestion would be a plenum spacer.

A used one for 1/2 the price. If it looks like crap yet functional, give it little creativity. Anyways I've always uesed Ingen.

If you don't want to deal with changing filter oil, look into the injen/amsoil dry filters, which can come on the injen intakes by request. You clean them by vacuum and you're still getting a really good product bc its engine.

As far as the spacer goes I would look into the motordyne spacers. The one that seems to get the best reviews is the 5/16" spacer. What this piece does is increases the volume of air and flow through your plenum into the cylinders of the motor...basically more air flow for more power....

For the price Plenum Spacers work quite well on earlier Z33's.I may put one on mine soon.

AAM ,Motordyne, are both fine.

Zocky3,

If you have the REVUP engine keep in mind that the plenum spacer (by itself) does not work on the stock revup lower plenum.

Please see this link for an unbiased and independent test:http://my350z.com/forum/intake....html

If you have the revup engine, use the spacer with the MREV2 for really good results. This is easily the most effective NA bolt on available for the REVUP engine.

If your budget limits you to one or the other (Spacer or MREV2) start with the MREV2. The MREV2 will make great gains by itself and you can always add a spacer later for additional top end HP.

This plot illustrates the basic differences. See plot legend for configuration details.
