Whats that string out of my cat

I finished my exhaust but didnt place this string looks like it would be a ground or sensor or something, well it was connected to the cat but i forgot to connect it back when i installed my apex exhaust what could it be and should i put it back on? Thanks

ewwww.... Yes, it's a grounding cable and I wouldn't worry about it.

It's not super important, but you might as well hook it up. Mine was broken, so I just used some 14gauge wire and put a couple ends on it and hooked it up where the old one used to be.
