Im gonna be installing a HKS gt 2540 on my car soon, (its a CA, but I figure people with SRs would know more about this subject). Do I need to get a HKS water and oil line kit for it? I know on some cars wheen you change to a bb turbo you need to restrect oil flow to it so you dont kill the bearings. The oil and water line setups the same with the 2 motors (CA and SR). Any ideas?

Ive never heard of downsizing oil lines to restrict flow, that sounds like a very bad idea that could cause coking

If it is designed to fit with the stock sr manifold and oil/water lines it should be just the same as swaping a SR T25 on to the CA.

i got a stainless steel line for the oil feed and coolant feed.... i left the coolant return stock.... after rigging the hotpipe and new intake... i think that's it.... oh, don't forget fuel.... and the stock oil return elbow needs to have the bolt holes enlargened.... they sit a little wide...

The restricting of the oil line going to the turbo is a must on the bb turbos. On a regular bearing, the more oil the better. On a bb, though, just a little oil to lubricate the bbs is plenty. I found this out at the SEMA show talking to one of the guys at Garrett, so I don't think that I was filled w/ bs. . . I'd hope he knows what he's talking about. . . (we were talking about that disco turbo they're so proud of--jk. they're very nice)Anyway, I believe Garrett makes a restrictor for bb turbos. It attaches b/w the oil line and the turbo. I'd be more worried about the EX mani more than I would the oil lines. The oil lines are relatively easy, and cheap to have fabricated. EX mani, on the other hand, is going to cost you since the bolt pattern is different on the CA mani than the SR mani. You probably already know this though. . . Nice choice on the CA, BTW, how're you liking it so far?

it's a smaller hole in the banjo bolt that restricts the oil flow, but the tech rep at hks said i should be fine as long as i didn't enlarge the oil line... i wouldn't stress too much, but if you have an ulcer already, you can get the smaller-holed-banjo-bolt from hks... they will definitely know what you're talking about when you ask...
