You are going to need to start checking out all of the wiring connections made. It sounds to me like something didn't get soldiered right when the wires were extended for the MAFS and O2 sensor.BLKTOPS14SR wrote:Checked codes:
#12-Mass Airflow. Its wired to spec using the wiring diagram on this site.We have also swapped MAF's with no change.#33-Exhaust Gas Sensor-Currently running a Blacktop S13 sensor according to Enjuku racing wiring specs. There's three wires, what is the correct order they should be in? Signal-ground and return. Which wire is which. Thanks again. Josh
O2 sensors come in 2 types, heated, or un-heated. Of those 2 types, there are 2 ways for each to be wired.
The heated will either have 3 or 4 wires. 3 wires = signal, heater +, heater -. 4 wires = signal, ground, heater +, heater -.
The un-heated will either have 1 or 2 wires.1 wire = signal.2 wires = signal, ground.
As for wire colors, it can be any of many combinations. Most heated sensors are a 3 wire type. Usually you'll have 2 colors that are the same, and one that is different. The 2 wires that are the same are for the heater. Connect one to ground and the other to 12v+. The odd color is the signal wire.
On the CA wiring harness you should have brown, white, and blue. -Brown should supply 12v+ with the ignition on. If you don't, there is a problem in the wiring behind the battery. -Blue should have a path to ground when the car is running/ignition on. If you don't, there is a problem with the wiring going to the ECU, or with the ECU itself. The ground patch is provided via the ECU. If you want you could directly ground this wire out to the engine/chassis, just be aware that if you leave the ignition on for long periods of time, it will drain the battery heating up the O2 sensor. -White is your signal wire. This wire should be shielded at some point. Sometimes when the wires are extended, they don't shield this for some reason.
