Whats it worth?

Hey guys,

Looking for some advice on my 240 'vert.

I was recently ran off the road by a truck (hit the driver's side door) and wrecked into a retaining wall. My car needs new front fenders, bumper cover, windshield, and passenger side tension rod, drivers door may be fixable or might be easier to reskin.

I am debating on trying to fix the vehicle, or part it out as a roller. It has a mint condition vinyl boot cover, good top in full working condition, etc.

If I sell it as a wrecked roller, or part it out. How much do you think I will be able to get out of the vehicle?

selling as a roller prob won't net you much if there is significant frame damage - truck + retaining wall don't sound too good. rolling shells don't typically go for more than 600-800 in good condition, unless the car is heavily modified.

i would personally part out the main stuff:- engine (if undamaged from the wreck) will net around 200-300 depending on need in the area & if low mileage & in good condition.- entire top (frame, top, pump) will net around 500-600 depending on condition of top & metal underneath- rear quarter windows & switch should get you around 100-150 depending on condition again- vinyl boot will get you about 300- you can part out further, or just give the rest to a junkyard for 200-300.

or you can keep the good stuff (i.e. top & boot) & put it in your next vert, if you are planning to get another one.

Dude, never send a vert to the scrapyard. Its better to keep what you need and sell the rest. Ive seen 2 verts in the yard and its just depressing.
