If your car came with the manual it should have it in there. But if I'm not mistaken it says 91 octane or whatever is "premium" gasoline in your area. I know here in the Wash. DC area, the only place I can think of that sells 91 is Sunoco, everyplace else premium is 93 octane. Oh and if you didn't already know a lot of members on here live by BG 44K, find you some

Your average run of the mill auto store doesn't carry it. But here's a link to them http://www.bgprod.com/products/fuelair.html. Oh the slap wasn't anything personal just some added motivation, lol j/k

First, you need to spend a lot more time reading the previous posts.

Second, you need to get the FSM, TSB and OM and read them.

Third, you need to research a topic before posting.

Fourth, think and reflect before posting.

Please tell me why you are so troubled by people asking questions? Why do you routinely insult new members? I really want to know. Thanks

P.S. New people to groups often ask easily answered questions as a way showing respect to others who are more experienced/knowledgeable (you). This guy might be trying to be respectful. Consider that, or as you might say, "think and reflect before posting".

Don't let Brian bother you, just take it with a grain of salt. There's no other board that compares for the Q, welcome and post up when you get some pics!!

To try to answer your question, run whatever the highest octane you can get. I live in CA and we can only get 91, that is all we've had for at least the last 8 years or so, I cannot say what 93 or 94 would do me better, but my Q runs fine on it.

I would say run a few different grades of premium, if you only run 91 or higher you'll be fine.

You need some Sunoco 260 GT Plus 109 octane Unleaded. mmmmmm goood

http://www.sunocoinc.com/Site/...s.htm

Just kidding.

Actually, we have a 50 gallon drum of it here at my shop Haven't tried any yet. My boss has a couple of Porsches and he puts a 50/50 mix of premium and the Sunoco in his 930 Turbo. I love the smell of race fuel in the morning.........

I experimented with a tank of sunoco 100 octane street race fuel last month- couldnt tell a difference compared to the normal 93 octane I normally use on my stock q.people sure were giving me funny looks at the pump though!

My boss dared me to run a mix of 100LL with my BP/Amoco 93 premium. I looked at him like he was from Pluto.

Then again, a guy who lives here on the airport has an STC in his Cessna 172 airplane that he runs a mix of 95% auto fuel and 5% 100LL, so....

But nah, I don't think I want to blow my engine up.

Yet.
