Would converting to a fmic instead of smic be better? Whats the pros and cons? Any good and trust worthy online sites to order parts from?

There is one FMIC that performs as well as a good pair of side mounted, google search TDM Works 300zx FMIC. Unless I'm mistaken, there is nothing else on the market that comes close to what Ash Massives V3 offer as side mounts.

^this, the original trust kit is pretty good as well but unless you are making like 650whp+ a fmic is useless.

How much power are you looking to make?

Good vendors to name a few:

The stock turbos will run out of breath way before the 700hp mark

NoLimit: I think he meant he someday wants to have 700ish hp, but for now he is playing with his stock setup.

Unless you are going for mega power and need top feed 1000cc+ injectors, Nismo (Nissan Motorsports) Injectors are the way to go. 555cc is kind of the higher end for stock, but the 740cc would mean you can handle a decently larger turbo upgrade. Neither would be sufficient for 700rwhp, so you will be replacing them again.

If you are upgrading your Injectors, you should look into the 300 degree (company name) fuel rails, highly rated. Additionally, you can't just swap injectors and call it a day, you either need a new ecu chip or at least a tune on a previously unlocked ecu. This is because your car otherwise won't know there are bigger injectors and assume they are stock, screwing up your air/fuel mixture and probably causing problems.

For bigger power, you would want to eventually look into the BDE top feed fuel rail and appropriately large injectors.

This kit covers what you will need for a fuel injector upgrade:

740cc Fuel Injectors, 300 degree fuel rails
Dual Pop Intake
Upgraded Intercoolers
2.5" Piping for intercoolers and intake
3" Downpipes, 3">2.5" testpipes, catback exhaust
MSP Manifolds
Underdrive Crank Pulley
Tuned Chip
Probably will still need to upgrade your Turbos and Cams

This all assumes your engine is healthy, and ignores non-power making support mods that need to get upgraded when your power goes up (clutch, brakes, etc)

Here is a car that got close with stock engine/turbos, mod list included: http://specialtyz.com/blog/?p=441

Stock will be fine, no need to upgrade if it works (Until around 600hp). Even if you did, a lot of people just get a second one and run them together.

I have an FMIC and can't wait to get rid of it, if you want a decent FMIC it wont fit without removing the bumper bar, removing the bumper bar means a 15mph collision will result in your car being totaled. think hard about this.

So true.. IMHO this info alone should be enough to warrant against the use of a FMIC.
