very true.... plus most of of are guys and we like new toys!EniGmA1987 wrote:The majority of the owners here were 06-08 and a decent handful of 09 people. Part of it is also that some of the cars from those years are now moving on to 7 years old. For some it is just time to move on to something more new with less miles. The new body style M's have not been very popular compared to other brands and there is also an extreme lack of performance parts available for them.
sounds like the perfect wifeTXT wrote:All good points above. I have seen some new people (I guess I consider myself new) that pop up here and there. I will say: I get into cars that are fairly new or brand new, and have less options than my 06 M45. You would think that after 7 years, ALL cars would have options that my car has but no. Although my car is old, it still keeps up with the new crowd! Fuel efficiency is not a factor to me because I find driving pleasurable and I would give up fuel economy Vs. getting a car that I would hate to drive. I wont be selling my car anytime soon. Very happy with it.
My car is a "Lady on the streets but a freak in the sheets!", why would you give that up?

the q50 is amazing... i have to admit i would like one... lolN8NiTTY wrote:I have my "m" for now, I am going to upgrade to the 2014 Q50s Hybrid.I will switch up in 6-8 months.I love the car (the "m")before I bought it rented it 5 times from hertz( 3 times the exact same one). My Lady has a murano so we will use that the family hauler.I just want to go smaller,I recently went to get my "m" serviced(@ray catena Infiniti-Edison Nj) and I was given a 2012 G37X loaner Wow,That car flat out flies,The Q50s is alittle lower, bigger(but still smaller than current "m")& faster..also my current "m" is 303 hp,The loaner "g" was 330hp and the Hybrid q50s is 350hp and gives 35 mpg highway..+ 2 eight inch monitors in dash(Newer Technology).I also noticed since the car is more affordable more of them are in my area.. Those are my reasons for change.
JMichael, you are only 18 (and that is not meant as a put-down in any way, shape or form). One of the things you will come to realize as you get older, if you haven't already, is that the only constant in life is change.jmichael97 wrote:good points guys... but it seems like its all happening at the same time! like in the past 2 months! its all the good guys with heavily modded Ms too!
Also the 2011-2012 are more affordable now.Alot of guys buy their "m" CPO.My "m" is 09 with every option other than the rear entertainment. The 2014 Q50 Technology blows my "m" out the water when its comes to Tech. There is a 5 year difference so this expected.I love my "m" But I also pay 225+ dollars a month in Gasjmichael97 wrote:good points guys... but it seems like its all happening at the same time! like in the past 2 months! its all the good guys with heavily modded Ms too!
To add my 2 cents to this post, I think there are several reasons Infiniti is losing ground. First let me say I love my 2004 M45 but it is a rare bird. I intend to keep it for awhile. It has been trouble free but just does not have that WOW factor as few seem to know what it is. One of the many factors taking Infiniti down in my OP is they have not offered a car in the BMW, Mercedes category. Another one is they don't have a flagship car and the Q whatever is not going to do it. They also market to the I want a "fast" car guys that like Ninja bikes and don't offer many, if any alternatives. They are overpriced and use cheap materials on the inside. In addition they have some major mechanical issues with the more recent models as per the many posts related to those issues. Then we have Lexus coming up and hitting some major homeruns.jmichael97 wrote:howcome everyone is selling their Ms, trading them, or either getting another car and putting the M off into the background? is the family falling apart guys?? the threads are dying down too...
WOW!!wingFeather wrote:I'm way ahead of the trend. I already sold my first M years ago, left the family, bought another one & am back.
You are right Double E. I am not giving up on my 2004 M45. Its been one of the best cars I've owned and it is a BIG TIME sleeper. If we have to close the doors maybe ours will become classics.Double E wrote:I'll be here... Probably myself and "myother45" will be the ones to close the door.
OK, I know you weren't looking for a review of your M45, BUT ... I have to admit I actually had to google your model because I had no clue what the 2004 looked like. I must say, it is brilliant! The way the grille and headlamps maintain an even width and height across the front end, the sleek, straight body sides, and slope of the rear end matching the slope of the roofline, just the right amount of chrome trim to accent - they all make it look powerful and posh at the same time. The design of the body and the dash doesn't look 'dated' in any way - even after 10 years. In my opinion, you sir, already have a classic on your hands.myother45isalesbaer wrote: You are right Double E. I am not giving up on my 2004 M45.
