whats everyone doing spring break

wheres everyone going? I cant decide between lake Havasue in Arizona or a couple different places in Mexico. I think i will probably go to lake havasue because i figure if they have filmed girls gone wild there it has to be a good time. plus i dont have to worry about those damn corrupt federales

Spring break? Seems like I remember something I used to do called spring break, but the memories are all too fuzzy. Anyways, I'll be working like I have been for the past several spring breaks!

EDIT: I will be packing one set of bags for korea , the rest of my room to be sent back to the pad in florida so when i get out i wont have to worry about moving

It was classic, the same day I emailed my parents to tell them I didn't want to do s*** during Spring Break they buy my plane ticket to the Windy City.

Well, I for one will be having a blast in South Beach for the Winter Music Conference, then going up to Daytona Beach for the Spring Break Tuner Bash.....

Well to start my early Spring Break, mine starts as soon as I leave school, then I'm going to get ready for the Big Nissan meet so from friday evening til Sunday will be my early Spring Break...then I have from 10th to 15th (add 2 weekend days) to be off. I think I'm going to stay in town and hang out with my friends hopefully for the week.

i will be attending autocross school for the brandywine motorsports club that i plan on joining as soon as i have $18 to spare for the membership fee. i think it will be a re-hashing of basics, a review for people from last season. and since i started autoxing mid-season last year by the seat of my pants this educational thing should be good for me to know. other than that i may work 2 jobs. probably not.

spring break is supposed to be fun, and we are supposed to go on vacation, but i have three midterms right after spring break! so the only activity i will be doing is ....study! it sux!

Since I'm not in school again yet, I'll be doing the same thing I've been doing for the last 2 years(wow, it's been that long, I'm amazed) working, walking my dog, surfing the 'net, watching tv, sleeping, maybe squeezing in a card game, or trip to the casino, or if the gods are really smiling, buying a bunch of 40's and doing the double blind taste test known as the "Ultimate 40 Challenge" and attempting not to regurgitate it all.

That always PO me when my professors did the same thing.. It's just plain evil to give midterms the first day back from spring break.

Hmmm......I, will be doing.......absolutely........nothing! Except the usual, going to bed late, playing video games, working out, internet, street races-i dont care what you think, i know its bad, the nearest 1/4 mile strip is an hour away.

Well, if you wanna go into detail, that about, hmm, lets say 50-60 miles away. It is an hour, that, if i were to go that drag strip, that means, i would have to leave my house at about 7 00, or 8 00, to get there in time to watch, just to watch, then if that were possible, if my brother or some of his friends wanted to run, thats about 15 dollars each. Inlcuding gas for one car to get down there, thats about 2 gallons wasted going down there, with todays gas prices, and putting in the fact that all we use premium, thats about 3dollars and 40 cents, being premuim is about 1.70 at my local gas station, thats 3.40 wasted just going there, and then getting back, thats another 3.40, so thats 6.80 there and back plus admission to race, which is 15 dollars, and thats about 21.80 just to race legally, yes, legal is good and is in a good environment. Now, i always go see the races with my brother and his friends. My brother gets off of work at 9 00 pm, and he is usually tired when he gets back and takes like a 30 min to and hour nap, so he wakes up at about 10 00-10 30 and is in a good mood, then, if we were to go, i would be ready and it takes him about 10 mins to get ready, then getting in the car and wating for his buddies to arrive so we can roll together, thats about 11 00 and then we can go.

The strip is an hour away, and closes at about 12 30 am, by the time we would get there,, its about 12 o clock if we were speeding and there is no traffic. Then paying to race and gasoline, thats 21 dollars and 80 cents of for about for unlimtid passes for 25 mins. Being that there is a line of cars staging and racing, thats about 2-3 passes if were lucky. Then the trip back after it closes which is another hour. Thats 2 and a half hours there and back and watching and racing. 2 of those hours are spent traveling to and from. A huge inconvenience for all of us.

Versus, Going to the street races, which is about 8-10 miles away from us, lets say about 25 cents of gas used, and getting back, about 60 cents all together to and from. It takes about 10 mins to get there, and is in an industrial part where i live. There are about 2 races every minute and dozens and dozens of cars. The street races start at about 11 30 anyway and run until about 2 30 am. So that gives us plenty of time. The cops come at about 1 30 to one of those spots, and which there are about 3 different places to race in that area, so we can just go to any one of those, and then re group at the other one about 30 mins later. The cops only give warnings and maybe a ticket if your lucky, and they dont even take anybody down for spectating, and oh yeah, to race, its free. So, i think i would choose the one that is closer and costs only 60 cents for some free fun that gets your heart going. Dont get me wrong, if there were a strip with in 20 minutes from where i lived, i would be all for it and stay legal, until then, its street races for me. And oh yeah, for the past 2 years that i have been going to these races, only two people have gotten in accidents, and that was there own fault and they wrecked their own car into a fire hydrant or a tree, and that was after the race. So which one would you choose?

Sorry i put all of this, its just that i hate when people bug me about this, its annoying. Also, how often do you to that drag strip that is an hour and half away? I go to the street races every weekend.:peace

why don't you just go to the drag strip before 12pm? I mean, it is open earlier I assume:D

hmm , you know when the ice wasnt around i used to look for excuses to drive to places that were hours away , i guess i just love to drive ...gas prices still arent at a level that i would care enough to change my habits , the cars i deal with are always great on gas anyway

i used to just sit here and rag on kids for street racing , now i just hate you people , you realize your the reason my liscense was suspended for 30 days ? thats right , because of the fact that people who dont own imports think that everyone that drives one street races they wont accpet the fact that when one crashes it wasnt racing . i was made a expamle of to curb the possiblbity of street racing here in central alaska . you may not get caught , you may never kill anyone but your contributing to something that accfects everyone driving a import .

OK were all going to leave it at this and get this thread back to srping break , hot women , beaches and alcohol , i miss florida
