Me and my dad keep having an argument on whether buying all together is better that collecting the sileighty front end parts... My dad want me to go to panda garage and buy all the parts together for $950... but i think searching on craigslist and picking the parts up piece by piece is not only better but cheaper... cuz my budget is $925, and i wanted to do some suspension within that budget... i can piece together for about $600-$700 maybe less... ive already seen a passenger side silvia fender for $60 in great condition... and a silvia stock bumper for $100... But as many say "you get what you pay for"... What if these parts are hidden gems?

Should i... Buy wholeor piece together?

well i just took off about $200 off the price cuz my friend gave me triple projector headlighs for free cuz he got duals... the only thing is the tabs are broken, but i can find a way to work with them... ill use these lights as mock up till i can find good prices for another pair... but so far it looks like i can get the whole set up for about $500... ill need to visit craigslist to get an idea again

depends...

buying all at same time is quick.

finding parts is probably a more drawn out process.

you might be able to find better condition parts if you piece it together...

You can't get a "100% answer" on something like that.

buying it all at once saves time i guess. I'd rather piece it together, unless those rare deals come along when rent is due.

Buy all at once, if you find better head lights or something, then you can sell those or keep them as replacements. If you have a $9xx something budget, I wouldn't do a conversion.I would put it towards the engine or more suspension parts. The only thing you're gonna be able to get with the $200 you want to put towards the suspension is a bushing kit. and a case of beer.

You should also keep shipping costs in mind.

Well thats y i wanted to spend the least as possible, so that i can spend the rest on suspension... so if i spend $500 on the front end, i can spend $400 on suspension... plus i already have money put aside for an engine but want to get a good first but if my engine f***s up between now and when im ready for the conversion im gunna get that money i put aside 4 an sr and put an sr in ASAP

If that's your car in your sig, save more money and get suspension and wheels first. You won't like what suspension you will be getting with 200 dollars and you will have a sil-80 truck.
