this is not a easy question to answer.....suspension is IMO something that suits the driver not just the car.....if you have yet to purchase any suspension components i would suggest getting a QUALITY set of coilovers with full adjustability...every car is different..depending on what is inside...some are stripped some have a full interior...and every driver is different...some like oversteer...some don't ...that is why coilovers are great because you can tailor them to fit your driving style as well as the car.....then it is just a matter of experimenting with different setups until you find what suit YOU best....also upgrade your tie rods with the tein ones with the spacer...more steering angle..definate difference....and of course a good tire will make a huge impact.....

You have to have a budget first of all. Suspension mods aren't exactly cheap (unless you're just going with coil-overs). Secondly, read up on the different companies that make suspension products and choose the best option. And don't be afraid to shop around. Most of our sponsors have pretty good deals. Oh yeah, my favorite has to be Tein (they work wonders and some of their products are relatively inexpensive).

Well here's my budget. I have 1,500 to spend but I want to get the most mods I can for that much money. I was thinking of full suspension that comes with a pillor mount so I can just take out my whole suspension and throw these on.

But I was also thinking just Eiback sportline and kyb agx shocks. And the rest spend it on short shifter, greddy shift knob, and an exhaust off ebay for 50 bucks shipped take it to a muffler shop and have them weld 3. inch piping.

What would be best you guys think? I know I should figure this out myself. I just want to hear what all you guys have to say. Thanks

Eibach/KYB purchased from Grant H. at TireRack!!!

<--------find him in the column.

Leave the shift knob how it is and don't modify the exhaust with ebay parts.

-full set of nice coilovers (say $1100) w/ camber plates.-set of front and rear sway bars $200 (can get used if you want)-front/rear ebay strut bars ($50)-and then spend the rest on good tires if you can or replacing any worn out buschings/ball joints on the car...

Im with candela on the coilovers, but after that, id buy a decent set of tires to start out with, but its best to have a few sets for different purposes.

those 2 will give you the best results. and then, your only like 1-2 paychecks away from the various bars and rods.

3 inches on the exhaust sounds a bit large. try 2.5 .......i would deffinately reccomend coilovers.....tires.....sway bars.....of course if your are going to spend the money on coilovers you should get good ones not entry level crap....just a waste of $$$ imo. spend a few hundred more and get so much more.....and tires are a major factor of course. with coilovers and tires your spent if not more.........next sway bars.....upgraded tie rods.......strut tower bars.....it might even be beneficial to buy the rear sway bar and strut tower bar and wait on buying the front....this would help with understeer and of course allow more oversteer........imo

1. tires2.coilvers or shocks/springs... depending on you3. other stuff that you might want.... IMO no as important as #1,2

alot of people suggest sways and coilovers or springs/shocks but I think it is necessary to get your coilovers first, drive it, see how you like it, then fine tune it w/ sways... you might even end up not getting sways....

I got some decent tires on my car. I just order the KYB AGX and Eibach sportline. Are these cool? I figure if they are I can spend the rest of the money on tie bars and sway bars. Hopefully money left for exhaust and then I'm ready to autocross. Please any suggestion on the suspension that I bought please let me know.
