for an almost new, perfect condition evo 7 intercooler? guy in town has an evo 7 (some crazy cars in huntsville...who'd have thought?) and has replaced his intercooler with an hks one. gonna see if i can't buy it off him. ive got about two hundred bucks left, i doubt its worth more than that.

for those who want to know, i had no idea there was so much wrong with my car. it is so much more driveable now! it starts with no problems and idles higher when its cold. it has a LOT more low end grunt now too, as i found out on my way to school this morning when i started it in 3rd. it used to almost die when it gave it lots of gas and slipped the clutch to get it moving in 2nd. -its not like i dont use 1st gear, but sometimes it doesnt like to mesh into 1st and i have no choice since i dont have the time to mess with it when im in traffic. it pulls considerably harder and will spin the tires into 3rd gear no problem. i adjusted the clutch and it doesnt slip much at all, although im still gonna chuck it for a spec stage 3. doesnt blow soot everywhere when i rev it up either. thanks for everyone's help and suggestions! ive gotta go dyno it again this weekend and i will let you know how it works out.

Seems a little low for a fmic but he might take 200 cash if you hold it right in front of him. Up front cash is always temping, just say it's all you got, and tell him take it or leave it. I'm going to be looking for a front mount here soon and I expect to pay 300-400ish.

yeah tim, I defintaly think more like $300 or $400 for an almost new evo intercooler... go check dealer cost on one of those... I'd guess its over $800!

$200 gets you a good condition starion fmic... might want to try to find one of those. You never know, might get lucky... I got mine for $100 shipped:)

I think it will be too big for your Setup, how much psi are you running?

he will be runing 12 psi if i remember correctly... is there any reason you think it will be too large for his set up checkered?

its a 19.25" by 11.5" by 2.75" core with 2.5" inlet and outlet... sounds like a damn good sized intercooler to me... Tim I'd buy it if you can afford it!

thanks guys, and i know he doesnt need it, its collecting dust. it just sounds really good and im gonna try and get it. suposedly the guy has a few strewn about, so if not the evo 7, then something not bad. if all else fails, a good friend has a starion ic that he's had new mounting flanges welded on and new end tanks that make mounting a breeze. its also got no bent fins whatsoever and he wants 200 for it. ill go with this if the evo dude doesnt pull through.

he'll probably let me have it if i believe it has some remote chance of helping my power to the rear wheels. he will cry when i show him my dyno sheet, its pathetic. oh, and his evo runs low 12s/ high 11s i do believe.

thansk for the help guys! - tim

If he is running 12psi that should be fine…that’s why I asked “how many psi are you running?”
