Whats a good brand aftermarket clutch kit for 1985 720 truck

I wanted to know whats a good performance clutch kit for my truck... i want to be able to lay some rubber while shifting from 1st to 2nd or even from 2nd to 3rd. my stock clutch aint cutting it for me. let me know thanks!

Are you sure its your clutch? I like exedy.

you should SR20 swap and then you can lay rubber all day.

Yeah these engines lack the power to shift between gears. SR, RB, CA would give you what you're looking for.

I like exedy as well. Good luck "laying rubber", I can only barely chirp mine. But mine is a workhorse instead of a hotrod. I do that in one of the Z's

Post some helpful pics of your clutch install. I'm gonna do mine soon. My clutch is slipping under even small loads ( like pulling my John boat and trailer outa the water).

I bet Vinny's 720s chirp tires.

Also I have started pieceing together an RB20det swap for my daily, so I'll keep you guys up on that as well. I want to put a 4wd rb in a 720 but that will probably be way down the line from now, but I am starting to dabble in inline 6's.
