Well for you question i do not own nether one but in the future i will. If you go rb its the same hp as the sr but what you have to consider is the power to weight ratio and they sell more parts for an sr then a rb20 so try doing a little research before you do anything ,also it all in what you want to spend but spend it wise and don't half a** it.

why not throw in a ka single cam or twin cam for less than 500buks, then throw on a turbokit from jgstools.com or somthing, with jimwolf ecu. that make the car fun and reliable. but to answer your question, sr20 has many more parts available. and if you want rb, why not rb25, i'ts bout 600buks more than the rb20.

RB20 day in and day out. It's a far better constructed motor than the SR. Do a board search for comparison, as listing the advantages of an RB20 over an SR would cause me carpal tunnel.

Honestly it comes down to a personal choice. There both great motors and parts for the rb are hard to come by.

Im still droping an rb25 in mine

the real question is how deep are your pockets going with the rb is always the better way because it's a better motor to start with but parts are expensive for it but turn up the boost and you are good it can take a beating and them some , sr20det is a great motor also but if you want anything past 320 hp you neep to do some work to it red top is a better platform to build up but i personnally went with the blacktop because it's a newer motor and ball bearing turbo and decent power without going crazy .
