Great price. But the tires are a little iffy. They seem pretty narrow for 18" tires.

What you guys think?? Maybe I will call and see if they can upgrade the tires to some wider ones.

That rim style always looks good on a Maxima. 225 should be fine and will give a somewhat lower profile than wider tires.

Are those for the J?

I think they're pricey for off brand/no name wheels and tires. Not sure what offsets you need for the J, but there are plenty of OEM take offs for much better prices.

[shamelss plug]I have a set of 350Z Forged Rays Track wheels for just a little more $$ .[/shamelss plug]

I want them to fill the wheel well, so that why I wanted wider and taller sidewall. Plus with the combo that it is now, the overall height is 25.2 inches. Thats about an inch too low.

Rex, I do agree they are a bit pricey for no names but with tires in the package is what made it a good deal. That way I dont have to mount the tires balance them etc.

BTW I saw your wheels a while ago and they are just not the style I am looking for. I want the lota spoke BBS look.

Those are some nice wheels! I wish I saw them when I got mine! This is the guy I bought my wheels from, and from what I found that was a pretty good price for wheels, tires, mounting, and shipping. He does do wheel upgrades, so if you want something else give him a call. My wheels and tires are the exact same size as these so if you want to know what they will look like take a look at my pics. There is a little more of a gap than I wanted, so getting a taller tire should solve that problem. The tire brand is Nexen and they handle pretty good. They are excellent in the rain.

I believe the person I spoke with was Luis. The number there is 305-824-5858. They use UPS Ground for shipping and ship pretty quick.

Yeah, the mesh/basket weave look is nice. Did the listing ever state what brnad tires they were? It might make it more appealing.

I think they are Nexen like Big tone said.

Big Tone, one question for you tho. How is the finish on the wheels. Is it chrome? If so did it ever chip peel fade anything?? The reason I ask is because the guy has a negative like 2-3 pages back, saying that the finish peeled off. Maybe the guy got lemon wheels.

I dont have money right now since I am building up my sound system and amplifiers are very expensive, but if these wheels are quality I will start saving.

Unless he's made some changes the tires are Nexen. As far as the finish, I've had my wheels on my car since December and they've been on through all the snow and salt and the finish hasn't faded at all. They are hyper white aluminum wheels which is a light tone that almost looks like alloy. The guy who complained about them fading probably used some harsh wheel cleaner and didn't read the bottle which clearly tells you not to use it on some types of aluminum. The only thing I've ever used to clean mine was the soap at the car wash. They get clean pretty easy so the harsh stuff isn't even necessary. Just regular soap and a brush with plastic bristles.

The guy who complained said the finish peeled off within 30 miles of driving the car. Unluckily the auction was for the same style wheels Im looking at

Does he give any warranty?

I believe he does, but to be sure send him an e-mail and ask him. That way you'll have it in writing in the event there's a problem. The other buyer may have had a bad set or maybe that style is problematic, who knows. Even though the guy said he only put 30 miles on the wheels, my guess is he used harsh chemicals to clean them and ruined the finish.

I just saw these on eBay and thought you might like them. They are 19", but they may have them in 18s.

Those look very nice, and the offset and bolt pattern is perfect. But the only thing Im worried about is having a 10 inch wheel in the back, might have clearance issues.

True. I saw these when I bought my wheels, but the prices they have with tires was more than I could afford. The wire look is probably the best for the J. I saw a guy on car domain that had a set of AMGs on his. THAT was nice, but there's no way I'm going to spend 3k on wheels.

So ironic that you posted a thread about wheels from that seller in Florida. I dropped my car off with my mechanic yesterday to get an oil change, get new plugs and to find out why my car was riding so rough at various speeds. Come to find out my wheels were not balanced! There were no weights on them whatsoever. So I had them balanced and the car rides sooo much better. I'm telling you this so should you decide to buy from this guy you'll know what to expect.

you should be fine with those, they are 225's, i am running 235's right now and would saythat's about the max width you should run, i had a chance to try out a setof 245 profiles but they rub on the front wheel wells i would just leave it to the 235's...

also what is the general consensus on everyone's various offsets?

Damn Tone, that not something I wanted to hear, I guess I will put off the wheels for now. I am just going to focus on my new system...

That is my old sub on the left.

And this is my new amp

Just to give you guys an update, Nexen tires suck! It hasn't even been a year and the tread is wearing down already.
