What year Sentra or G20 is easiest for the sr20det swap?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I sold my 240 because it was too unpredictable in terms of rear end coming loose. What years sentra are best for sr20det swap? Also would having a oem sr20de make the swap easier?thankswhat about the g20?

This is a scan of the SCC article on swaping a SR20DET into the B13 chassis. It's a good reference.

I read the article but it is very unclear in the charts.Finding a manual G20 is almost impossible. What about getting a 91-93 nissan sentra stick, 5spd?no sr10de though

Yeah, find a 91-94 Sentra SE-R and you're pretty much golden.

If i bought one with a ga16de would that be ok to swap?I mean a Se-R is golden, but it isn't necessarily easy to find nor would it be cheap.I am trying to find one for 1k or less and buy a front clip and do the work myself.thanks bumpSo does it have to be a Se-R?

oh no, it doesnt really have to be a specific model.. a B13 period is an excellent platform for a transversely mounted SR.

i was actually about to buy a base model B13 but.. it went bye bye one day and i never saw it again.

good luck though.

thanks for the heads up.Yeah I can't stand the RWD thing on the 240.I remember one time I was driving up a ramp, just stopped raining, and my rear end came out while I applied gas, while I was doing 25.So F*cking unpredictable, and the drift craze is also getting ridiculous.thanks I'll let u guys know when I acquire one.

The best years for the sentra swap are 1991-1994, Same for the NX2000. 91-93 on the G20's are your best years wise.. Still OBD I. Although the DET will fit in OBD II SR's as well. Yes having a car with the OEM SR would be much much easier.

Yes a B13 chasis is what it is. But mechinically speaking they are completely different. There are some threads floating around on here about making a GA16 B13 into a SE-R. Specifically the sticky at the top!!zerothread?id=133008
