Hello, i have a simple question about my 2001 Pathfinder. How would i determine if my Pathfinder is 2001, or 2001.5. And also, can someone tell me the difference between the two. Thanks.

I didn't even know there was a difference. Looks like the only major change is that the LE got All-Mode 4WD.

Last year I replaced my 2001 LE with an 2001.5 LE. Many people do not even know that there was an 01.5 model so I wanted to post the differenced before I forgot them. 01.5s started with VIN 550,000. If anything is wrong or missing please let me know.

01.5 added:

All Mode for LE (01s were manual 4x4 only)
Available NAV system
Available entertainment system
Pre-wired for entertainment system
Scissor jack rather than bottle jack
3 child seat tether anchors added to hatch floor (01 has threaded bolt holes)
Fixed 1-2 transmission flare on cold days (01 has a TSB to fix)
Pwr button added/ down removed from steering wheel radio controls (may be because I have NAV)
New factory service manual

According to the FSM:

The SMART C/U - PREVIOUS is applicable for the 2WD models up to serial number 567231 and for the
4WD models up to serial number 584967.

I The SMART C/U - NEW is applicable for the 2WD models from serial number 567231 and for the 4WD
models from serial number 584967.

I read that as "previous" is 2001 and "new" is 2001.5.

I have yet to notice a difference between the two in the FSM.
