What year Maximas come with LSD??

i have a 99 Maxima and i was just wondering if there are some lsd trannys off of other year maximas that i can use on my Max

none in particular... they were randomly and rarely made. The ES's in Canada were all lsd. And the I30Ts were for mostly the ones that had it a lot.

yeah the us maximas didnt come with lsd not the 4th gen's anyways your best bet is to do what i am doing and just get the i30t tranny of the same year and the mojority of them are lsd and easier to get a hold of

Not quite. LSD is limited slip, but doesn't lock.

In the USA, none of the 4th gens do. RS5F50V is the part number (the standard open-diff ends in "A" rather than "V"). In Canada, the 4th gen ES and SE models do. Infiniti I30t's do as well-- the base I30 does not.

You'll need the transmission and both axles if memory serves.

Not all this info is correct. I just retired a 1998 I30 that was NOT the touring model, it had the VLSD. It had leather and the heated seats, I think you got the lsd came with the package that included the heated seats.

I have a 98 Model Maxima GLE with automatic VLSD. I suspect the original transmission was replaced with one from an I30t. I don't think the previous owner had a clue the replacement transmission had VLSD. It works very well in snow.
