I Own a 1993 Q45. I just found out the motor on this car has been changed.What year is this motor? why i ask? theres an elbow on the intake that a 1992 dont have.

elbow just means it came from a traction control model Q, maybe a 92,maybe not?

Well judging from the injector clips it appears to be from a '91-'93.

I would assume they wouldn't go through the trouble of changing injectors but who knows these days.

Cro,Does not look like a USDM engine w/TCS. The extra gooseneck on the TB would be longer and have a TCS sensor on it. May be JDM engine- perhaps Q45tech will chime in.

The dealer may be able to use the serial number on the engine near the firewall to find out the year- not sure how visible it is since it's very tight back there.

I think it's a safe bet that it is a '90-'93 since they would have had to switch out the wiring harness or the heads to make a '94+ work in your car.

Looks like a normal corroded US TCS engine to me.

Are you saying your 93 doesn't have TCS? See the TCS system on left.

Or are you confused - comparing a TCS to a non TCS engine?
