1995 - easiest to find. probably cheapest. uh i guess thats it. well...i take it back now. get a 1997 model and then you can give me the front body parts after you do the conversion. i will put them to good use. ;)

I dunno while most of the NICO guys are pretty insightful, and nice, they're also opinionated as well....:)

Also if i got a 95 or a 96 and didnt have the greenbacks to do the conversion to a s15, is it possible to swap in some of the better looking headlights from a 97-98 without custom fabrication?

Dude you got it all wrong...people buy 97-98 (cookie :) model and change to the zenki style headlights because its different and more unique. But on a serious note, my friend has a 95 240 for sale for only $2500 with clean title no accident with only 118k. And you can buy the conversion for $3000 which is more than what the car is worth.

You can get the Strawberryface (S15 conversion) from http://www.afterdarktuning.com (when he gets his sight up). You can also just search google or something to find one. And the conversion is really easy, you don't need a shop to do it for you.

Deez1001 now Im confused.. Are you asking to change a S14 240SX 1995-1996 model to a 1997-1998 look or the actual Japanese s15'S THAT ARENT IN AMERICA? btw tHE s14 is from 95-98 and the SI5'S are newer

I was saying that if I didnt have the 3 g's to do an s15 conversion when i ended up buying a 95-96 could i put the 97-98 headlights on it because i like the look of them too and could that be cheaper than buying a 97-98?

No. The headlights won't interchange. They are a different shape than the kouki lights.

Going back to your original questions:

A) Look in the buy/sell/trade forum on NICO. There are some in there. Also, http://www.autotrader.com There is a red, '95 SE for sale here in Indy. It has 143k on it and the guy wants $3200, or at least that's what he's asking. I can hook you up if you want.

B) Either one. If you get a '95, you don't have to deal with the OBDII crap and they may be a bit cheaper.

C) I'm just fabulous. Seriously.

deez, to convert the 95-96 style to the 97-98 style lights it'll cost you $1500-2000 plus a paint job. Not worth it IMO. s15 conversion will cost $3000 + paint if you want it done right. I think you'll find that the 95-96 style lights grow on you though. They did for me :)

The S14's are kinda like the evolution of a tadpole into a frog..The 95-96's look a little premature and babyish in the front..kinda like a bubble..the latter versions look like "Im grown now dont mess with me"

You can always do eyebrows that give you more of the look you are going for with a lot less hassle and expense.

How about a CF hood with matching CF eyebrows?

just to warn you, 18s look huge on our cars. I STRONGLY urge you to look into it more and possibly do 17s instead. If you get 18s and drop it you won't have a tire :P
