what ya'll think about a 4.0

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

It's a waste in my opinion. Your gonna spend a lot making it happen, and its not going to be a high horse car. For the money you spend doing the swap you would be better off just doing an SR20 swap, or building the stock engine. Or another nissan engine swap that doesn't require massive amounts of fabrication.

i agree, its a good engine and I think the even make a supercharger for it, but you can probably get more bang for the buck with another motor.

I'm not familiar with anything Ford aside from the 302, 351, 460 and Mod series. IMO it all comes down to 2 simple choices. Will the motor make good power NA, will the motor make good power under boost? No sense in swapping in a big ole 4 liter if it's not gonna make good numbers...for me boost is ALWAYS included in the plans, even if it takes a year or two after she's running. In the end all my projects see boost.
