I would set aside the money in even increments in interest bearing accounts or various funds.

Fund #1 -Use 90% of whatever it earns as a return to pay off debts and use for living expenses, letting the other 10% roll back in to raise the principal to provide a little more each year. Depending on how much it provides we'd move from here to a nicer place and area. I'd join a golf country club, too. All a matter of how much interest income is provided each year.

Fund #2 - Do the same 90/10 % for my parents.

Fund #3 - The same spreading out the 90% return among kids, nieces, nephews as I see fit. College funds would come out of this one.

Other funds - do the same for an assortment of charitable causes. Among our favorites are the San Diego Zoo, The Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institute at UCSD, a memorial scholarship at a local college in the name of a coach who passed away while I was there and things like that. By always rolling 10% back into principal the donation will gradually increase every year yet I still get to keep some control over how much goes to which charities. It also leaves the flexibility to start new accounts like that as I see fit.

All spending would be the 90% AFTER taxes so I don't see myself ever burning through the money.

I would have to start with doing the basic math to determine spending rates.

260 million x 8% = 20,800,000.00 APY

10 million in an interest bearing account for each of the following. They would have access ONLY to the interest for each year. Principle would be locked.

Thankful Spending:

10 million *MDA (Access to interest only)
10 million *St Jude (Access to interest only)
10 million *My local Parish/ Church (Access to interest only)
10 million *Educational Scholarship Fund (Access to interest only)
10 million *Education Scholarship Fund for children of NICOCLUB.com (Access to interest only)
- Topic- Vehicle/ environmental related
10 million *Education Scholarship Fund for children of Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighter/ EMS (Access to interest only)
- Topic- Public Safety related
10 million **Education Scholarship Fund for children of wounded military veterans (Access to interest only)
- Topic- USA/ Patriotism related
10 million **Wounded Warrior Foundation to provide required medical items for wound soldiers. Provide lodging for family to stay nearby while soldiers are hospitalized.(Access to interest only)
(80 million)

Responsible Spending:

1 million I would payoff the mortgages, bills and car loans for all my family members.
1 million (2 ways) trust funds for my children (For property)
1 million (2 ways) trust funds for my children (School)
1 million (15 way) trust funds for my nieces and nephews (School)
1 million (2 ways) trust funds for my god children (School)
(5 million)

Fun Spending:

Purchase a few new family cars, and a boat
Build a house with a garagemahal (garage- mahal)
**Install a lift to maintain our personal vehicles
**Purchase any tool that I would need to work
Shopping spree for my daughter, wife and her sisters
Payoff all bills
Family Vacation (Italy)

Live on interest of main accounts
Invest remaining (Precis Metals, Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds)
Enjoy life and family

I'd mostly would just travel (with some nice camera gear in tow); buy some cool cars and take them to different circuits around the country/world; have a house or two in places I frequent the most; donate the rest.

Step 1: Buy an abandoned Missile Silo
Step 2: Kit it out with geothermal power, greenhouses/tilapia ponds, and a freshwater spring. Along with all the required luxury appointments of course.
Step 3: Kidnap several choice honeys.
Step 4: Release biologically engineered small-pox virus unto the world
Step 5: Wait
Step 6: Emerge from vault to RULE THE WORLD.

I'm sorry Mr. Drax, her Majesty's government cannot allow your devious plan to proceed.

Invest 200 mil.
Spend 60 mil.
Pay my bills forever with the interest form the 200 mil, until I "retire". Then blow w/e I feel like and leave the rest to charity.

I'm with Jesda, i'd let people i don't know think i'm some lazy-don't-wanna-work-bum who's living off the government. I'd wake up early every morning to pester my neighbors about going to work. Go back to sleep, then wake up a few hours later and get to back to working on growing the bank account.
