Well guysI would like to know what would you guys recommend me to do to the motor.I have 6 gs to play with i was thinking of just swapping in a rb25det to my 240 but decided to go ca its a better motor and its what i want like streetable and stuff.

But this is how things goThe 6gs include the motor so pretty much its more like 4gs the motor is lik 1400 plus i need the other 600 for minor things and intercooler and other miscellanous.

But what i was thinking with the 4 grand do you think i should open up the motor and do a head job and internals. Or jsut buy a turbo which i can get at a real good price and then im not sure what to do.

And if you guys tell me to put internals what internals exactly. Like what brand and stuff what do you recommend. My goals are to have a veryquick car that can handle very good and get up and go.I want power both on bottom end and top end.

P.S. MY 240 is completly stock 5spd. ThanksAlex

With 6g's in your pocket.... sell the 240 and take the money and buy a BMW.

That is what I would do. Wouldn't even bother with it if I had that kind of cash laying around.

for $6k ill sell you my brother.... the eclipses were 450cc were they not? and the autos had 390cc? anyway..get the engine, new gaskets and water pump and the necissary stuff, metal head gasket, manifold, turbo (gt series sounds about right, or a t3/t4), wastegate if needed, boost controller, fuel management, a host of gauges, bigger radiator (koyo or something), 550cc injectors, intake, some shocks/springs or coilovers (depending on $$ left), 300zx brakes cuz youll definately need to have more stopping force for that kinda power, lsd and anything i forgot.

I had 5G's to play with so my list goes like this:

CA swap $1500Exhaust and test pipe $500Springs and shocks $500LSD $150S14 Seats and seatbelts $100Boost gauge and turbo timer with harness $200Maintanence parts before the motor went in $250Messing up the motor twice $300Clutch and downpipe $200 (hook up thru friends)

The rest I spent on other non car related stuff.

I still need a FMIC, 550 injectors, AFC2, Z32 MAF and a bigger turbo and ill be set.

Why mess around with different size turbos, super charger = one size fits all boost, Whipple is good for 30 psi and reaches full boost at 2k. Just imagine your furious little ca with 30 lbs ( even denser air charge then a turbo ) from 2k to 9k, I know where super chargers stand around here but the thought gives me a hard on

theres nothing like a top mounted blower to make me shat myself. it just screams "im gonna wipe my arse with your face". a big hole in the hood and a huge shiny blower with a scoop on top of it migt look a little out of place on a 240sx, but it would sure have my respect.

Hey Alex,

I didn't realize you were here in Miami, but now that I do I can help you build some serious power from your CA as well as supply one to you. There are 2 other CA18 powered 240s here which both use standalones (microtec and SDS) in which I installed the SDS, but both guys are very cheap. If you're really interested in the motors and would take a ride in a CA18DET powered sentra that's at or around 400whp, let me know. I am your neighborhood CA18 specialist.

What up Ian? My friend actually likes his microtec, but he's not too familiar with tuning. I got the chance to play around with it and clean up some of his values and for the most part it's pretty decent, but has too many screens with information bunched together which can be confusing. He likes it so much that he's planning on buying another for his CA18 powered 510.

did you use the laptop or the handheld controller to tune it? i figured the laptop software would be easier to understand with the bigger screen and all, but i didnt know. I'm gonna order one from TougeFactory.com unless you know of anywhere cheaper. Now, all i need to find is a CAS and I should be set for that part, and oh yeah... what was that other thing i needed? Oh yes, a ****ing JOB! :rolleyes LOL.

motorset, FMIC, 555cc injectors, z32 mafs, S14/S15 turbo, ECU tune/ S-AFC2, gauges, boost controler, and then various maintenence. That will use up about 4G's. Dump the rest into suspensioin.

Quote »****ing JOB[/quote] LMAO:D Get in line.........HE uses the hand held which is not the most convenient. I'm going to his crib tomorrow to do his timing belt and water pump. He says microtec claim his timing must be set to 6 degrees BTDC, but cannot confirm. I'll check it out tomorrow though and give you some more insight on it.

I think he's referring to his base timing, but it's still a bit retarded like you said, 'float'. My base timing is at 10*BTDC and max timing is at or around 27*BTDC , then back down gradually to 25*BTDC.
