okay, sometime in the next year, (next week, or 11months and 29 days) i will be getting an S14 M.C. and i have money to spend on it!!! WHOOO!!!So should have around 8K to put into it. . . i was thinkin:NSport Stage one (4k)Rims/tires (1K)Tein Coilovers with that badass computer thing (1.5-2K?)Misc Guages, Fuel controller, ecu (1K)then maybe a 10 foot carbon wing to make me fly. . . no wait, the turbo would do that.Anyways, i keep planning and replanning and doing it all over. What would you guys do with a bone *** stock s14MC (hopefully SE, so i will have 5 lug and LSD)????post and let me know. . . ~Flash

How are s14 parts cheaper/easier to find than s13? Legal schmegal, a turbo kit on either car won't pass smog better than the other. More torque? Why do people think torque is the best thing since sliced bread?

Just get big, ugly stickers. They add about 25 HP each.

you mean there's sliced bread? oh man that's awesome!

uhh, i think more torque means it will accelerate faster. it's more for the low rpm range, like when you're accelerating from a stop. Horsepower is more the upper rpm when you are already going to go faster.

no, i meant KA parts are cheaper than SR parts. . . If i turned the boost down to about 1-2 psi and put some everclear in the tank i would pass emissions and with the nsport kit i would make 240hp and the base Sr i would get 227 (blacktop with VVT, specs from daunttless) and only 203ft/lbs of torque,ka is faster.plus anyone is expecting an SR engine, thats all the stupid *** honda dudes know. they think "fast 240 has to have an SR and alot of stickers. and some neon tubes"'this is my take. i was just trying to get opinions on what hould be done with 8k.plus i likle the idea of being able to boost the KA, and you can get em for cheap too. i wont worry about killing it AS MUCH as an SR20det. . . just my 2 cents

isnt torque what enables my altima (KA24DE) with 150hp, spank the hell out of a prelude (h22 with like 200 hp i think.) My KA spanks almost all imports ive raced off the line. torque is my buddy. Im not gonna try to improve my torque figures by tuning for that istead of HP. but why spend more for less hp and alot less Tq?

Because it is.

Well, there is something better, but you'll have a hard time getting any in a 240... (j/k):icesangel

LOL....that's cold man.

i originally thought about the same thing because NSPORT promises 240hp to the wheels at 7lb of boost. i decided against the turbo KA because i wanted reliability.

but yeah the same reasons i wanted more torque, but supposedly the SR is smoother, which is better for my purposes.

also i like the idea of replacing my motor and transmission with one that has around 30k on it rather than boosting a stock bottom end with much more mileage. because money spent on repairs that could have been spent of performance.......sucks.
