Hey guys:

If someone offered you a G-37 Journey Sports 6MT in replacement for your G-35 Coupe 6MT Sports-tuned suspension for the same monthly payment, same amount owed, with about $2,000 less equity than what what you would have got for your G-35, with about 14,000 miles less than your current G-35 Coupe and a limited life time warranty, would you take this deal or not? Not a dime will come out of your pocket.

What would you do?

Assuming they are both 2008 or of the same year production?

Including mods in the G35 and none in the G37?

I'd probably go with the G37. Bigger engine. Newer design. You might have more kinks to be worked out but realistically I think its a better value. Especially if its got lower miles. Warranty is the same right?

The g35 coupe would be a 2007 or earlier.

1) bigger engine

2) More refined cockpit and interior layout

3) Longer warranty

Don't know about the reliability of 06-07 but by 14 months I had been to the dealership at least 6 times for warranty issues with my 03 coupe. In the 15 months I've owned my G37 I have not been back to the dealership for any reason. Still waiting on my recall letter. Anybody got theirs yet?

Pull the trigger! Go for it!

i got a simular mailing from an infinity dealership in atlanta... i could trade my 2005 g35x in for a 2008 g35x... basicly Key for Key... no money out of my pocket... with a slightly lower payment (like 50 less)... but i finaced my g35x i dont want to lease a car because i want to be able to mod the car and i drive too many miles... i had also missed the dead line too... i thought it was a scam... but if you got a simular deal... i guess it was real.

but i like my 2005 g35x

if it was a financed deal and not a lease i would of jumped on it!

Equity? They're gonna give you stock options with your G? Hell yeah, take it. The market can only go up and you'll be a rich man.

Whenever dealing with a dealership, you have to take into account the fees with a new car. It would be very hard for them to really save you any cash...

Remember that they want to move cars for a profit. You were wise to back out!

Hell, even if it was $1000 out the door I would do it...

To bad Jacko - unfortuantly it sounded too good to be true though...

You still have a G though
