Hello all... ok, looking for opinions. I'm not a regular board poster but I'm pretty well on here everyday checking out ALL the helpful advice. This site is seriously a wealth of knowledge, everyone is very helpful...and I Thank you all for that!

Ok so, I lease a 2005 G35 coupe. Probably (but maybe) not going to buy it out as I am really excited to see if the GTR makes it here to Canada in the near future. I still have almost 3years on my lease. I have anywhere from $1000 - $2000 to spend on my car right now. I would like to make it a faster. But...I want to ensure that whatever mods I do, I can remove them when I give the car back. Any ideas?

And go.......

Cold air intake or Z-tube with Motordyne spacer. STS will help with shifts if you have a 6MT. You can always do 350Z Tein H-tech springs with aftermarket struts for that cost as well. All can be removed prior to returning the car, altho some require more work or expense than others.

I think you are looking at quick removal when it is time to give it up...I don't think you will though it is a blast to mod. But anyway the quickest mod is the cold intake, and maybe exhaust. they can be removed very easily.

Thanks Auditious... It is 6MT. About how much more power? And what is a spacer?

A spacer is basically a thick gasket that goes between the upper/lower plenium. It increased HP by allowing more airflow into the engine. Motordyne engineering is your best bet.

My recomendation would be to do the JWT popCharger/Z-tube/5/16 spacer/cat-back exhaust. This combo should yield about 30 HP.

Ahhhhh!!! And there it is. Thanks Joe603!! This place never disapoints me! Thanks very much for the advice. Much appreciated.Does the Pop Charger require oil like a K&N filter? Are all of these mods (except for the exhaust which I presume is harder) easy to do myself?

Also, I am in Canada, any advice on who to purchase these from? Online or wherever for best price?

The pop charger is an easy install. It was kind of annoying putting parts of the heat shield on - I cursed a few times - but its on and I'm loving it. I'm a chick too so you should be good to go installing that for yourself. =P

Contact Stillen - They're a sponsor here.

Let them know you're a NICO member, I believe they have a discount for us.

You should be able to do all the work with simple hand tools. The exhaust will be a pain in the but without a lift, but it is do-able. Just remember, half the fun is doing it youself!
