Hi, im building new engine, and want to know what you think

2.2 apex stroker kit, 8,5:1
brian crower stage 2 cams,264º
tomei solid lifters
brian crower springs and retainers
cometic 1,2mm head gasket
1mm oversized brian crower valves both intake and exhaust, 3 angle valve seat cut in the cylinder head
bored and polish cylinder head ports intake and exhaust
greddy roker arm stoppers
arp main and head bolts
acl race bearings

new gasket kit, oil & water pumps, cam sprayer bars, complete timing kit

greddy intake manifold bored 10mm, with tomei 70mm throttle, methanol injection kit
Circuit sports Bigger fuel rail, hks 740´s, walbro, sard fpr
avcr + power fc

Off course, apexi intake, exhaust, hybrid fmic, ngk 9´s, apex manifold, z32 afm with bigger intake pipe, gt2871 ar64 52 trim...

i know a bigger turbo will be better, but that means over 2k euros, and means changing gearbox too 1k, planing for future

will i need splitfire coils and upgrade fueling with a bosch 044?

just dont want to miss anything and get the aproval :)

I'd dump the Cometic head gasket, and get something that uses a better sealing tech, like Apexi, Power Enterprises, or Cosworth.

Also, what's the reasoning behind the Alcohol spary? You have a front mount IC and 8.5:1 compression, are you going to run lower octane fuel?

Hi, the reason for the methanol injection is because here where i live is really hot all the year and i use it as a "protection mode" for the engine, i should tune the timing for it but dont want to depend on it

I've been considering the Splitfire coil packs, but I have to replace my PS rack and entire brake setup first (two calipers are binding...) I'm pretty sure that a single walbro is supposed to be able to support 500hp or so, but I can't remember exactly. I agree that you should not get a Cometic HG and that any of the aforementioned ones will be good choices. Also, go with the Mazworx head and main studs kits. Their studs are still ARP material, but the headstuds seat further in the block than the standard ARP's and their mains don't require you to clearance the upper oil pan like the standard ARP's do.

Ah, I see. What kind of temps do you normally see?

Just a quick tip for the spray, take the time and do a direct port setup. It's worth the extra cash to make sure all cylinders are getting the same amount of spray.
I've had problems in the past with a single nozzle and #1 cylinder not getting very much alcohol flow.

Hi, thanks both of you

Will try to sell the cometic and go for one of the mentioned, about the arp will be more difficult to sell but will also try.

About the temps, is about 25ºC all the year, but in summer and hot spring and autum days its easy 30-35 or more ºC and also in the touges its big altitude wich affect the knock.

Do you have more info about the direct port setup? pics or links to the product. I have a normal coolingmist kit.

Well that's still not really that bad, I think it would be fine with out it, though the power potential with the alcohol is higher when tuned correctly.

A direct port setup is just like the single point, only you have one nozzle per runner. I don't think anyone sells a direct port, but if you get extra nozzles in 1/4 the size of the single nozzle you would normally run and some tee fittings, it wouldn't be hard to put together.

Though, in your case, a single nozzle should be fine.

thanks

Yeah, you would have to drill and tap the intake for the nozzles, probably 1/8" NPT.
