Try to give me some realistic numbers. Its not planning on being sold, but it would be helpful to know how idiotic my project has been

My list of finished projects...Interior:S14 Seat Belt ConversionBlack Sparco Torino 2'sReupholstered Door Cards & Glove BoxMatching Black Fabric for rear seatsNew Black CarpetNardi Classic Wheel with removable hub

Electronics:Alarm System with 2-way and keyless entryOptima Yellowtop BatteryAlpine Deck6.5" Speakers in all 4 corners with Zapco Amp12" JBL Sub with amp

Exterior:Hella H4 ConversionRolled fendersType-X wing (real)Type-X Tails with carbon overlayOnly body damage is light cracks on stock bumperRattle canned white on: Front bumper, hatch, tail-light trim pieceOriginal white paint on everything else, although I replaced the passenger door and that was repainted by Maaco.Removed the black body stripe

Suspension:KYB StrutsTein S-Tech Springs (2" drop)Tein Tension Rods5-Lug SwapFront Strut BarSportmax 962's17x7 and 17x9Q45 Brakes

Engine:AEM Intake2.5" no-name Cat-back exhaustNew headgasket and valve guides at 105k miles

Current mileage is 108k, automatic transmission.

Cons (from what I can think of) would be the rattle canned pieces, the front bumper is a little busted up, the rear bumper has a couple scrapes, and its an automatic.

maybe between 3000 or 4000.. the miles are actually pretty low, and from what you listed the cons for somebody who knows these cars thats not bad at all.

You forgot DRIFT TAX, just kidding though. From what I've seen in the past $3,500 to $5,000 maybe...

i would think $3,000 would be fair. it is a auto which most people frown on. but it has a great start to be something real nice.

actually kind of looks like something i'm in the market for.

Not exactly the numbers I was hoping for, but then maybe I am overestimating the value of whats in the car. Most people don't seem to care if the audio system works, let alone puts out good sound, or if it has aftermarket seats, but I suppose its a personal choice, and most people seem to stick with OEM, at least with the Nissan crowd.

I tallied up what I had invested, and I think I'm into the car at least $8k in misc repairs, painting, bits and pieces

$1.3k in interior pieces + $300 with steering wheel + hub$1.5k into the wheels, brakes, springs, 5-lug hubs which were Attain + OEM $600 in Type-X parts$900 in audio, another $400 for the alarm

So there is at least $4.5k in parts, not counting another $2k with motor repairs + buying replacement body parts.

This is why I need a girlfriend to harp on me about my project car and say "Honey, why don't you just buy a nice little reliable Camry"

well.... blue book is higher on an auto, my blue book dropped 500 after my 5speed swap but with the ppl that look for 240s to buy, 5speed brings more $$$

honestly no one cares what you spent on the car...especially if all the mods on the car aren't anything too significant. it's a well put together car but don't forget it's almost 20 years old and i doubt you will get more than 3500 for it.

you might as well get a 5 speed swap or something and just enjoy the car. not worth selling it IMO.

Ya, I figured out the part of about crappy returns just from seeing the amount of super clean built 240's going for pretty cheap. I'm not planning on selling the car, I'd like to keep the car for so long I'll be buried in it as an old man, it was more just to get an idea of what its worth at this point in the process.

5-speed swap is around the corner, figured I'd just get as much out of the auto while I can, and 5-speed swap parts and becoming hard to find, at least in my area, and the transmissions available are rarely under 150k miles
