ok so heres the deal, im trying to narrow down my options, my car is bogging under cruising speed but when i accelerate it works just fine, i put in some bkr6e plugs today and they worked for about 10 mins then the car started bogging like crap. the gap was at .32 so then i cleaned out my maf and put the gap to .27, it does it a lil less but still does it none the less. also the plugs when i took them out were crusty (the hooking part was crusty) can the bogging be fixed by just putting bkr7e plugs in it....the colder plugs. oh and btw the compression on my SR is 9:1

Weird... I run 6 plugs in my SR and I got 10:1, and I don't even have coil pack ignition!.036 gap, btw... Though I've ran .044 before and had a little problem with spark blow out.

Hotter plugs have nothing to do with higher compression. You'll most likely detonate with the hotter plugs.
