My attraction to this story stems from the sheer irony of it. Jackson is notorious for making media spectacles out of people who say things that he doesn't agree with. Yet he, a "Christian" pastor who preaches non-violence and who marched along with MLK, Jr. is using a phrase like "I'm gonna cut his nuts off." Basically showing that 1) he's a hypocrite and 2) that he doesn't really care whether or not something is true -- he's just after metaphorical blood (personal note: even better if it gets him on the front page).
So now you get to see him for what he really is, in his own words and HE gets to be the shamed spectacle in the global media. Now if Al "Won't you take me to.... HymieTOWN" Sharpton would just follow suit we could be rid of both of them for good.
