all right today my comming home from school a good 78 mi trip about 15 mi. from the house the car starts sputterinng and back fireing, and bucking around 3-3.5k on the revs so i pull of at the next exit and barely get in to the gas station parking lot thats on a 45 degree incline and the car dies and dosnt want to start so i sit there and wait for a min and try it again nothing and i smell gas so im assuming if flooded some how i wait bout 10 more min and it starts up so i get back on the interstate and i get the car up to 3.2k on the revs and it cuts the fuel out and dosent start feeding it back till 2.5k on the revs then it sputters till bout 3k and does this for the next 8 mi till i get to my exit coming off the ramp the car dies and i put it to the side pop the hood and wait a min then at this point i just want to get home so i unplug the maf and run in limp mode for the last 7 mi well i give it gas before i take off to make sure it wont cut the fuel and it backfired like a mofo and shot big flames and big black puffs of smoke what the hell is going on???????????????

its either.......

Air

Fuel

or

Spark

So check......Intake piping, MAF plug for corrosion, couplers and connections on IntakeFuel....injector connectors, hoses, vacume linesspark....plugs, coilpacks, coilpack connectors for corrosion, CAS connection, PTU connection and for corrosion

my guess is possiably plugswhat plugs are you running and at what gap and what are your mods

Sounds like a boost leak or bad MAF.

UPDATE so i took you advice and checked out a few things apperintly the connector on my maf shock a lil loose. it runs better but i still have a boost leak somewhere because i can here the turbo its louder then it was in assuming. and i belive i need hotter plugs since the ones in my motor look like the ones in the pic and they have only been in there for 2 weeks.

let me know if im thinking right on the plugs
