i have been having problems with my rb20 for the last week, have checked everything, the mass air signal is working and reaching the ecu, but i can unplug it when running and nothing happens doesnt skip a beat, so i must be in limp mode what could be some posibilities, also the car take forever to start the first time after sitting cold, literally running the battery down trying to get it started, once its been running for a minute or so, starts instantly, like its looking for a map or something on that first start, please help i even thought it could be a HG but did a compression test and it was 120 across the board. i appreciate all the help that everyone has given so far, i know we all share the same goal and that is to keep all our rb's goin.

oh yeah one more reason i think its in safe mode is because as soon as i get into boost it cuts out and wont wont really rev anymore.just another piece of the puzzle

The car won't rev over 2500 if I remember right with the MAF unpluged. Your CAS could be bad too if it feels like it's not getting any timming at all and just runs like ***. Did you check the ecu for any codes?
