Historically all Nissan and Infiniti V8 shocks have lasted about 5 years or 60,000 miles before they lose rebound stiffness. Rears are prone to go first.Shocks don't have a high enough nitrogen charge psi to affect body height.

77k is near the point when you need to replace EVERY rubber component or rubber isolated supenion arm to restore as new ride and performance.Especially in snow/ice/salt areas.

Why vehicle has depeciated by 60%+ and sells for ~ $20G instead of ~ 55.

I would save it section by section to it's own folder on your computer. Then as you use it, you can go back to the index and click on the links, etc... those features don't work until they're in the same folder.

In terms of that being a normal stance or not, check out http://www.cars.com or http://www.autotrader.com - I find them to be a great source of car pictures.

Good luck!

As a heads up: Shocks are not intended to support body weight. That's the springs' job. Or airbag. Whatever newer Q's have. In any case anything doing the shock absorbing should not be supporting the car, and can't.

My guess is my dad has the same color 2002 with premium, Sports, journey, Chrome and navigation pkg. Which means this car should have rear center console radio & climate control with both rear heater power seats that weights lot more than the basic premium, journey or sports pkg Q45. I don't think it's the shocks because I noticed it too when the car was around 30K and I always thought because he carries golf bags in the trunk all the times. Sports pkg. has adjustable shocks that only adjust the fronts struts and rear is not adjustable. Just regular shocks with separate springs not like the 1st and 2nd gen with struts.

With separate rear springs it appears possible to design and build ~ 1/2" shims to raise the rear spring in it's lower seat. Whether that is safe is as always up to owner.

Infiniti Q45 DOWN RATE

Front 40-45 4.6

Rear 30-35 4.2

No units stated. Is the first drop in mm? Is the second spring rate in kg/cm? Who knows?

Guess it's all explained in the classified.

A lot of sedans are designed with the rear wheel arch being lower than the front. Its a transition from fender skirts.

Unfortunately, this half-a** design choice makes the butt look droopy.

No explanation in the classified. Amazing that someone can represent something in total ignorance! Oh well, Caveat Emptor.

So, if the latter units are Kg/cm, does teh spring rate work out to be like 100 lbs./in. ? Can someone else check the math? Way too soft.

FYI all JDM spring specs are in kg/mm this is pretty much general. The reason I asked to refer to my classified was this thread is not about g50 springs. I don't want to be rude interfere with someone elses thread with different subject.

Then (check my arithmetic) that makes the rate 1080 lbs./ in. which would be great for a cement mixer truck.

Just didn't see any addtional information at your posting, either.
