HI all,

I just took a Rogue SL AWD on a test drive and I can honestly say, I'm in love .The Rogue I'm thinking of getting is a Venom red/ black & red interior SL AWD with the premium package, splash guard.I have never bought a car before and I'm clueless as to how I should negotiate the price. I intend to pay in cash, so I don't know how that will affect the price. The MSRP for this specific build is $25050.Any advice?

Go to edmunds.com and request online quotes from the dealers in your area. I got 2 good offers this way, one was 300 over invoice, but the second was 700 below invoice. Naturally, I went with the second dealer. The rest of the dealers were quoting MSRP or just below.

I'd look to get at least $1000 off the MSRP.

The Rogue is still a hot new vehicle, and dealers are not getting too crazy yet with any advertised sales. But by pitting one dealer against another and invoking some competition, we've been hearing people getting prices of at least $1k off.. sometimes more.

Call up a couple Milwaukee or Chicago dealers on the phone.. tell them your from Mad-town and your looking to travel to get a great deal on a Rogue. Get their best price and a name of the salesman and dealership. Then hit your local shop armed with that info.. You'll make out very well on the deal.. If they are too tight.. then travel a bit to save the cash.

Good luck!
