I have a apex safc2. It reads knock where as the neo don't.

I would NOT use it to tune with!

i only need to set the amount of fuel being put into my motor because im running rich. other than that my car has stock turbo nd stock injectors. would it be ok to jus tune the SAFC or should i jus go standalone

SAFC is bad cause it manipulates MAF Voltage. When it does this your also changing your Ignition Table along with the Fuel Table. This can cause too advanced or retarded timing in certain areas. Dont use the SAFC to tune with.

How are you running rich on stock setup now? I think there is something else going on that's causing you to run rich.

Dirty mass air flow, o2 sensor (especially if you had a recent headgasket failure), Vacuum leak...Really anything the computer would compensate for to make it run rich. Is it throwing any codes?

yea i would def check ur computer cuz it might just be something that is clogged or dirty thats causing it to run rich start from there before u get into spending alot of money

i have the stock s13 maf ive been told that they're no good and to just upgrade to a z32 maf. also i may need a new o2 sensor because mine is old and probably shot. the reason i probably started running rich is because i had a leak where the fuel filter is. i dont know that could be a reason

Ya the leak might be some of the problem. Not enough fuel/pressure telling the computer its lean to adjust its gonna dump more fuel.
