Well, a couple weeks ago someone broke into my car and took my alpine HU, ripped my trim pieces off and ripped the stereo out of the spot (I guess using the fancy clips was too much work for them). It sucks real bad, now I have lots of wires just sitting there not hooked up to anything. I need to get a new harness so this brings me to my question.

I have no harness at all for the stereo now (car side, I have a harness to connect to the cars harness, but there is no harness in the car now). So I was wondering if anyone has a diagram or knows what wires go to what. I wasn't sure if the colors were the same as they are on the stereo side, so I figured I better ask.

Thanks

well depends what kind of deck you have... depending on manufacturer, they like to use different colors for certain things... so for starters, what deck?

most are fairly generic, but there's quite a few that i'm not sure about...hey simm, you've installed more decks than i have, can you help a guy out?

black is groundblue is remotered is power, but usually more than one power wire :confused:yellow is power antenna

These are all aftermarket colors. These are NOT NISSAN FACTORY WIRE COLORS.

Black - ground wireRed - ignition power wireYellow - battery constant power wire (aka "memory wire")

Grey pair - Front RightWhite pair - Front LeftGreen pair - Rear RightViolet pair - Rear LeftAll of these are speaker cable leads and include positive and negative wires.

Orange - IlluminationOrange with stripe - (some have dual illumination leads that have a negative (ground) wire for illumination. In a 240, no need to worry about that.

Blue - power antennaBlue with white stripe - amplifier remote turn on

Pink with black wire - cellphone mute lead aka "audio interrupt lead" (dont worry about that either)

Front Speakers 4" x 6" Doors Left Front (+) = Blue/White Left Front (-) = Blue/Yellow Right Front (+) = Brown Right Front (-) = Brown/White
