yo im just curious cause my friend has a mustang cobra (v8) cough(*****) anyway.. what will win my 240 IF i had a stock sr20det or his cobra if we both are equal drivers..? casue we always argue whats faster and i honestly have no clue.. so if im wrong and u guys straighten me out i will stfu.. thanks

What year is the cobra? Id put my money on the cobra anyway. SR isnt that fast out of the box.

I think all year Cobras were faster...a stock SR20DET into a 240SX, according to dauntless would net you 14 second time slips...most Cobras are faster than that, early 90's runs mid 14s/15s though...so it depends on the year, but if its a 99-now, run away now.

i don't know, some video that was posted recently showed a 240 racing with preludes and a svt cobra. the 240 kept up pretty good. i think it had an upgraded turbo though, since they said it was running 12 psi i think.

yea that was tight video.. it was hard to see who won but ithink the cobra had the 240.. but i mean **** the 240 did more than keep up wit him... a matter of fact ithink the 240 won once or twice..

The sick thing about the 2002 SVT Cobra is that is prolly weighs 1000 lbs MORE than our 240sx's. Weight is 3665lbs! And still runs 12.9.

Our 240SXs are not meant for drag racing, I don't know how many times I have to tell people that. If you want pure, unadulterated straight line speed go buy an F-Body.

Yeah but they sure werent made for taking a drive in the park either...why did they even bring 240's to the US if they were going to make them sooo slow...No wonder they stopped making 240's in 98.

The 240s aren't exactly blindingly fast with a stock SR20 either. Even with the SR20 or CA18 or what not they aren't meant as drag racers.
