it all depends on the setup of the cars. What type of brand is the engine. You see more older Nissan trucks then you will ever see of an older model dodge, ford, or chevy truck. (with original engine) of course this is just my opinion.

I dont know as long as you take care of it and its built right, both should last a long time.

The crate motors from chevy are Real good, track or street. the Skyline engine is awesome also, but buy it from a reputable company so you know your getting a good engine in the first place.Who would you be getting the crate motor from.

TURBO BABY :ylsuper most of the used Skyline engines, in this case RB25DET's that I have seen offered have 30,000 to 40,000 miles on them. Whether they have been hard miles is unknown but jspec.com writes that they are extremely picky about the engines they choose for swaps, so I would imagine that legit companies want your engine to last so they don't get bad reviews from you. Properly maintained of course, both will last for a long time. (stock) turbos are generally replaced at 75,000 miles so by the time your turbo wears out on that nice Skyline straight six, you've got over 100,000 miles on it overall. Not bad methinks.

Dear God man please don't put a SBC in an S-chassis car!!!!

The RB series engine is AWSOME and can easily hold 400+ HP for a long time.

BTW You don't need a blower to run 400hp on a V8,thats like Nothing. Just got a 383 Fast burn....BUT NOT TO PUT IN AN S-CHASSIS CAR!!!!
