What will happen if reflashed ecu turbo is larger than actual turbo being used?

Sorry for the strangely phrased topic. But here is my question. What will happen if you use a recoded ecu where everything that has been programmed into the ecu is the same i.e injector size maf etc. is the same. But the turbo is the less powerfull of the 2 gt25r turbos that you can get. And the ecu is programmed for the more powerful version. Will this still work okay and if not what could happen? Btw this is a s13 blacktop engine if this makes any difference.

the ecu will think you have a turbo pushing more air so it will put in more fuel than you need causing you to run rich. by how much i dont know how much difference in the turbo sizes

it shouldnt be a huge differnece, but it might be, and if it is prolonged.....that might not be good

ECU only cares about injector size and MAF type. Bigger turbo = more air = higher MAF reading = ECU adds more fuel. Up until the MAF maxes out.

Smaller turbo = less air, lower MAF reading, ECU adds less fuel.
