I want to get some aftermarket tires and I am in between...

Rota Grid Offroad's 20x8.5

or FN BFD 18x9

I want the 20's but I do not know if x8.5 is wide enough and makes me think twice about getting the 18x9 instead, but 18 is too small for my taste :/

What do you guys think?

Just bought the FN BFD 18x9. The Rota 20x8.5 were just impossible to find in the US

When they arrive I will get them painted in....Takata Green!
I know most people here will hate it and say that it is ricer, but I really love the color and I have the HP & TQ to back up the look.

For those who don't know, this is the takata green:

Well I personally love those wheels, and even the green too!
And you're definitely not a ricer, since you have probably the fastest pathy of anyone on here.

I cant wait to see them on your truck

I think it'll be unique and will probably also make more people want to race you, but the powers there.

Only issue i see is what i said when you pm;ed me about this, is im not sure if the 9" wide is going to cut it, id get the widest tires you can fit on there.

yeah i hate that no one ever challenges me to race or don't think I am trying to race them because its an SUV

I think the most I can fit in the x9 safely is about 275, but still better than the stock 245

Just be careful with the clearance of the strut tower on the bottom

I will be using 265-275/40-50/18 tires, so I think it will be safe

Paint the drums black, and i think the calipers being white will match your body and will go nice with the green wheels.

They wont be hard to wipe down either when you clean it with the wheels you have, they have plenty of space between the spokes to wipe them down.

Just my opinion though.

Edit: also did you install the rods and other upgraded stuff you got yet, or the meth kit? Any updates on more power? and you never got those videos i asked for man cmon im dying to see them!!!!! i want to see this thing rip.

I was thinking of black calipers when I get the rims painted takata green and for the drums, since I hate them..my next upgrade (after front slotted rotors and yellowstuff pads) will be rear disk conversion

yeah..hopefully tomorrow the engine will be dismounted to be taken to the machine shop to make room for the 0.020 over bore pistons and get them installed along with the forged rods.

I have not been able to take time to get it done since I have been studying for the MCAT all this summer...but in mid August, the turbo path will definetely be ready with more power and I have a go pro that I still have to try out!

Im desperate to get MCAT overwith (test date is Aug 3) and then I can shoot all those vids that I owe you guys!

Got them installed. only have 1 picture of them installed because my path is horribly dirty since it has been outside for two weeks waiting for the engine to get the pistons and rods installed.

Tires are Nitto NT555 255/45/18

Thanks man!

Its really dirty and its parked in between 2 close walls so its hard to get a good angle. Im currently getting pistons and rods installed, so the pathfinder is engine less.

I will put lots of pictures when its finally done, hopefully by the beginning of August!
