What wheel and tire size for 1997 Pathfinder SE?

My buddy just bought a 1997 Pathfinder SE. He wants to put some different wheels and tires on it though. I did a little searching but id like some more help. What bolt pattern does his vehicle have? What size wheel and tire can he go with, what offsetwil fit that sticks out further? Also his pathfinder is not lifted or anything like that so keep that in mind because he doesn't want rubbing issues. Thank you very much

6 on 5.5 is the bolt pattern

stock backspacing is about 4.5" ... a 3.75 is what will stick out further

Okay thanks...so what width and diameter wheel should he go with? What size tire? ASre 31x12.50's possible without rubbing?

I think the 31X12.50's would rub. I have 31X10.5's and they rub but only at full lock in reverse, so it doesn't bother me.

will 15x10 wheels work with 10.50's? or is that to wide of a wheel?

15x10 is too much for a 31x10.5 tires, 15x8 with 3.75" of BS will stick out quite a bit anyway. If you are still sittin on stock suspension, then 31.11.5-12.5 tires on 15x10 rims are too much (unless you want to cut a good bit of fender, which would be badass). When I get home I'll try to find an old pic with my 31's on stock suspension so you can see (I have a 97 R50 SE).
