I have a 95 zenki with an s13 redtop in it, full exhaust, smic, and everything else stock. I don't have a volts readout gauge, I'm just going off of what my beltronics radar detector volts setting is showing.

When I'm driving and giving it gas, it will read out from 11.9-12.5 volts. But when I let off, and throw the car in nuetral to come to a stop, it will continually drop to around 10 volts and a warning light beeps on the radar detector. Not sure what the deal is? The car will dip to 300-400 rpm then automatically come to an idle at 800ish rpms whenever I let of the gas in nuetral. Is this normal? What could the problem be? Thanks!

I wouldn't trust the voltage reading that its getting. Check the voltage at the battery at idle. With the car running, you should have around 13.5 volts or so.

Yeah, I didn't think it'd be that accurate. I'm just curious as to what readings everybody else is getting that has a voltage gauge in there car.

btw, I fixed the low idle and dip problem, finally got rid of the stock ka24de mafs and put on an sr20 maf sensor, car runs beautifully now!
