Recently I was able to purchase an '89 240 for $300, swap out the engine for a running KA, and now I'd like to take it to school and be able to park it on the streets of baltimore. Theft is obviously a problem here. Here's a pic of the car:

So for the most part it's got the beater look down pat. There's a big dent in the bumper, the hood looks like crap, and there's no problem stealing the radio 'cause there isn't one there. The only problem is those wheels. I'm looking for a cheap and boring solution, definitely something not attractive. Possibly steel wheels, if I can find the correct offset. What I want to know is, what types of wheels from other cars can I look for as I'm going through junkyards/local classifieds?

Right. What I want to know is, can I use, for example, steelies off of a 2000 civic, since they are 15" and 4x114.3. The hard part about knowing this is offset, I haven't found a source for offsets on various stock wheels.

i wouldnt use civic rims, mainly because they are skinny as hell and have a higher offset. You best bet are some 91-94 240sx SE rims or sentra SER Vspec rims

I saw a 240 on Altima (1993-1997) alloys the other day, it looked good...

this just may be my wheel taste talking...but who's gonna steal those rims? just kidding...what you want are some older teardrop alloys from a 240sx. Lightweight, cheap, dont look like there worth enough to steal.
