so the breather valve on top of my valve cover, on in the back that circulates back to the block, it like... no longer clamps onto the block. the rubber hose is so lose it looks like it just gave birth. and there's always oil on the ground wherever i park.

i am looking to replace it. i read some of you used stainless steel tubes or clear tubes or somethign? where do you guys get these, and what kind of setup are you using? there seems to be a 90 degree bend in there.

Thanks for your help, i'm totally ca noob.

oil resistant hose? im really not sure, but i know im moving my oil catch can over there to and will be trying that clear hose that comes with the oil catch can. If you wanna try that, they sell it at Home Depot and such in the plumbing department

For the rubber hose just use 5/8" heater hose.

There is a steel 90 degree elbow that is connected to two rubber hoses.

You'll need a 3" or so length of tube to go from the valve cover to the steel tube.

Another piece of tube is needed on the other end of the steel tube under the intake manifold. It connects to the block.

- 1 connects to 2

- 2 and 3 is the metal pipe with the 90 elbow

- 3 connects to 4

- Disregard 5.

WTF, i don't have 3! and my 2 is just hanging lose...

can i take 1 directly to 4 w/ some hose? it's pretty crazy in there so i don't know if i had a clear look.

also i read something about a catch can in this forum, and all the catch can setup do not touch this valve....

So you don't have the metal pipe at all? 2 and 3 are the same pipe. It's one piece.

You could run a hose from 1 to 4, thats all the steel pipe does. You would have to make sure that it won't kink or get cut from rubbing.

If you have 1 connected to nothing it will pour out all your oil in no time.

1 is connected to nothing, i get pools of oil whereever i park, but, the oil is usually really dark. and i check the dipstick, clean oil and it's full. this is the biggest mystery to me. I've had my ca for about a month now.

does the oil flow from the valvcover to the block, or does the block press oil to the valves?
