A quick look at autozone shows iridium or platinum options. Both are alright to use and shouldn't make much of a difference.
Also note that most Nissans seem to run best on NGK brand plugs.

I believe all the VQ35s came with platinum plugs. I know my '01 did.

And the '03 FSM only lists platinum plugs (NGK PLFR5A-11 standard temp).

And given what pain in the neck changing the plugs is, you really don't want to do any more often
than you really have to.

Thanks chuck , I think once is enough after seeing the instructions for it most of the top of the engine has to come off, so in the life of the-engine, if I get 200K out of it Ill be very happy ;)

Thanks frapjap
I'm happy to hear this because I know they are good for 100K or more miles of usage.

It's not quite that bad. You really only have to loosen some stuff (throttle body, IIRC), but it's not like my 240-Z
where the plugs are right in front of you and I'd put in new plugs for every autocross day. I've done the plugs on my
'01 PF twice, and both times it took a morning and mmy back hurt for a couple of days after, so it's something to be
avoided if possible.

I agree about using NGKs, because that's what they used in developing the engine so the engine parameters will be
most closely tuned to the NGK.
