What type of burned media will Infiniti Bose system play?

I have a 2000 Infiniti I30t. Can anyone tell me what type of burned media (CD-RW, CD-R, etc.) that the stock Bose system CD player will play? If it does read these types of media what's the best music format (WAV, mp3, etc.) to use?

Rogue, thanks for the link to the manual, but I couldn't find anything on what type of media the CD player will play.
