What Turbos???????

I have a KA24DE and would like to put a turbo on. I have been to 3 different junkyards and found turbos on cars but not Nissan. What other motors, nissan or not, can I take a turbo off of? Can I take a turbo off a Turco Supra or does it have to be Nissan?

I recommend the turbo off of an F550.

Well first off you can use almost any turbo but it all depends on how much money ya wanna spend...Ok first off your manifold, you can find alot of manifolds out there that will bolt on to a t2 or t3...however depending on your welding skills you can save money by customizing several other mani's to ur design. secondly injectors should be replaced and the fuel pump....add a fuel regulator any questions or anything you come up with that works well post it as I too am looking for the best setup cheap...I dont wanna buy just a bolt on kit cause anyone can have that. But yeah, you can use a turbo from practically any car you'd find in a junkyard - it doesn't have to be nissan.

You just need a turbo manifold, with the same flange, that'll make the turbo fit in the engine bay.

The first step in ka-t isn't going to the junkyard and looking for a turbo, it's spending a few hours in the kat forum to give you an idea of what you're working with. Visit the faq stickied in the kat forum. It will answer most of your questions.

if you can get a 300zx turbo it will be better cause if you look on ebay there alot of manifold for checp if you dont wanna build your own like me unexpirence with weldin.. so that would be my best bet go to the junkyard andget a turbo of an 300zx or a wrx if you could and just get it rebiuld some shops only charge 70 dollars to rebuild a turbo
