Ok I have my 240sx, I just have to pick out a turbo now. I'm thinking about a Garrett GT30R 76.2 56 trim compressor and a .60 A/R turbine. It cost about as much as a Turbonetics ball bearing T4/T3 hybird. I would like to here some people's opinions about that turbo.

I'm running the T'netics t3/t4 and it's up to 9psi at around 3 g's. spools very quick....... and very capable of 15 psi.

If you plan on keeping a stock motor and want to be efficient all the way to 15 psi then buy a t3/t04e 360 deg. thrust bearing 50 trim .63 ar stage 3 wheel. If you plan on building your motor and want a better turbo upgrade, then get the SC61 because it will kick a standard t3/t4's a$$. But these for only boost levels above 12-14 psi.

I'd need a compressor map of the GT30R to determine if it might be a good match or not. Unfortunately my GT series catalog only has the GT22 and GT35 listed in order. The GT 32 is a decent match at 15 psi. The GT30 might be as well, but it may be a bit on the lower side of efficiency or may lose some efficiency closer to redline. If anyone has the map, please post it.

Looks like it would be efficient to me. I would think it might like a little bit more pressure than 2 bar absolute, but it seems like a good turbo if you're willing to pay the "GT Markup" when a T3/T04E 50 trim would probably give about the same result.

Does any one know where I can find a twin scroll turbine? I dont wanna fork over the money for a VATN aerocharger and tst is said to be almost as good.

It will work, but not the best match I've seen. At about 1 bar(14.7 psi), you will only have dipped into about the halfway point of the peak efficiency island of that compressor. Yoiu'll start somewhere around the low 70% range at a peak boost of 15 psi. A T04E-50 will have you starting out at the mid 70% efficiency range by the time you hit peak boost and cross through the entire 78% efficiency island and dipping slightly back into the 76% island by redline. With a turbo hitting that kind of efficincy, the more you are able to use it, the more power you will make overall. Peak power may not change much here, but the power band would be slightly broader. So far I do not see any GT series turbos that are providing a better match for a KA than the T04E-50. At least on the compressor side. And in a size that would allow for a reasonably flexible boost curve.
