I'm bouncing the idea of doing a turbo around spring of next year and was just curious as to what turbo setups you guys are running. What brand, size, what are your A/F ratios, are you running and internal or external wastegate and which BOV do you guys have? I'm just curious to see how many are running turbos from junked cars and how many actually have brand name turbos. Who has the largest turbo on the boards and who is running the smallest? Are you all FMIC or SMIC? I just want to see what the range of setups are for everyone in here, just to have a guesstimate as to what turbo system I should run. I don't want to make insane amounts of power (like what Ivan is running...500hp is just too much) but to make 400 at the crank would be perfect for me, not trying to set any speed records or drag race it, just want to have a good track performer or even a possible drift monster. I do intend on doing a full engine rebuild so I don't eat rods or grenade my engine, and before anyone says it, I'm not the redline before I shift type I usually shift around 4500-5K so there will be no over revving in my car.
So what are you guys running? is there any real difference between the Greddy/HKS/Apexi' turbos? how about A/F R? BTW is there a website that has a very good FAQ for KA-T that is as in depth as the DSM Faqs ( http://vfaq.com/index-main.html )
